Kansas.com 11/01/2007 Expansion in the works for the 8.8 million dollar Kansas Orthopaedic Center
It is a tribute to the Doctors and fine PT, OT professionals at Kansas Orthopaedic, that their skills have prompted a demand for expansion after only a year. The hand therapy emphasis cannot be under-estimated. The citizens of Kansas have a reputation for hard work and hands-on living. "The Get-A-Grip Hand Rehab Device" can shorten therapy times for treatment of the hand, wrist, and upper extremity. The Device can be seen at www.rehabdevices.com

ICU and critical care specialists are "Getting-A-Grip"
Having worked in hospitals for 20 years prior to inventing "The Get-A-Grip Hand Rehab Device(TM)", I have experienced the will to hold on to life, when patients are presented with attainable goals, even when in ICU and CICU. Hurray to the physicians who give their patients a chance to achieve and work with therapists, instead of lying in an ICU bed, often with waining hope. Therapy turns on that light at the end of the tunnel, that inspiration that can drive a patient.
The Get-A-Grip Hand Rehab Device attaches to meal tables, overhead orthopedic frames, bed rails, or any other creative rigging, to allow the patient to reduce edema, stimulate circulation, and build muscle. Patients in lower extremity and half body casts can use the machine to rehab hands, wrists and upper extremities from bed. The psychological and physical benefits of starting therapy early can not be adequately measured.

U.S. Physical Therapy purchases Star - Houston Business Journal:
U.S. Physical Therapy purchases Star - Houston Business Journal: USPH has once again shown why they are at the forefront of our business. Forbes will surely take notice.
I just returned from a wonderful trip to the NMOTA Meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While there, I met a lovely USPH partner. She has opened a Hand Therapy Clinic, under the USPH partnership program. Liz Billard, a OTR, CHT saw the machine at the Albuquerque Meeting and bought it on the spot. After only two days, she reported to Get-A-Grip corporate staff, " my patients love this machine".
I will be returning to next years’ event. The speakers were of national stature. Lynn Burns, OTR/L CHT, shared her incredible knowledge about the treatment and rehabilitation of burned hands. She has years of experience working with our injured veterans.
Thanks to Pamela, Stephanie and Lynn. Get-A-Grip is offering an in-house credit plan to help any of our colleagues obtain our product. Please "contact us" through the site: http://www.rehabdevices.com for details. It's easy. Just have a credit, or check card.
USPH has made a wise decision, in supporting Liz. I am sure Get-A-Grip Hand Rehab Devices will be found increasingly, throughout USPH as well as other Hand Centers and OT centers - where patient satisfaction, ADL's, and low cost solutions to rehab challenges are important.

mercedsunstar.com :: Giving workers a hand: Hand therapists help injured regain crucial abilities
Hurray Claire Osbourne. You are so on target, regarding the need for continued home therapy. Claire, and Debbie Prince, Director of Rehab at Anberry Rehabilitation Hospital in Atwater, are giving the injured and disabled new hope and good rehabilitative medicine every working minute. They often go unheralded for the remarkable and often miraculous work they do.
I am witness to the seeming miracles dedicated Hand Therapist and Occupational Therapist perform. I am a survivor of Proximal Row Carpectomy. While going through rehab, I invented a tool that has already helped hundreds of Hand, wrist, and upper extremity patients speed and maximize their rehabilitation. My friends at South Jersey Precision Tool and Die Company helped me create "The-Get-A-Grip Hand Rehab Device", seen at http://www.rehabdevices.com/ this little wonder has been seen and featured at The Philadelphia Hand Foundations' Meeting, and The AOTA Meeting in St. Louis. It is my hope that my invention will help dedicated therapist like Debbie and Claire give their patients the fullest chance at recovery. "The Get-A-Grip Hand Device" focuses on building Strength and AROM through incremental resistance training. In most cases, dramatic reductions in Edema and Adhesions result in adding this small and portable device to patients rehabilitation plans.
Please visit our web site. Our product is endorsed by many hand surgeons, owned by rehabilitation hospitals and centers, prescribed for in-patient and home use by Veterans' Medical centers.
Debbie and Claire, keep up the great work. There are many Mr. Fraziers out there for you to heal both physically and emotionally. I hope to see and meet many of you at The Phoenix ASHT Meeting, in October, and The Albuquerque NMOTA Meeting Sept 6-8.

Loyal Subscriber Site
Loyal Subscriber SiteLynn Brechtel, PT, CHT; a certified hand therapist with Eden Medical Center’s Hand Therapy Clinic, has not only the right words - but the right stuff.
Working at 14207 East 14th Street (at 141st Ave.) in San Leandro California, at the Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility (CORF), she helps perform miracles every day. Most "CHT's" like Lynn, work tirelessly, without complaint. They aften work without fanfare, for what is one of the most rigoress and highly technical physical medicine careers. Many Certified Hand Therapist, like Lynn, have 9 to 12 years of education prior to hanging that "CHT" after their name. Yet, the patients, and public she serves will know little about the rigors of becoming a "CHT".
The newest weapon in the arsonal that "CHT's" have to help them pull off these miracles, is "The Get-A-Grip Hand Rehab Device(TM)" as seen at www.rehabdevices.com . My hat is off and my hands are up for Lynn Brechtel. God Bless you. Her work number is, 510-667-4538.

thedesertsun.com Clients: Elite therapy got them moving again
Great work. I was the victim of a motorcycle crash, hit by a reckless driver of a p/u truck. I hope your good works continue. There is a serious shortage of physical therapy practices and professionals in this country. I am glad to see your success since your opening and know you will continue to be a success story. There are too many people with post surgical, post stroke, post injury ADL and O.T. related problems keeping them from a rich and full life. You are needed and will be appreciated. A wonderful product will help your clients with ADL, Hand, and Upper extremity ailments. The Get-A-Grip Hand and ADL Device helped me regain a full and useful right hand and wrist, after a Proximal Row Carpectomy. The surgery was several months after the motorcycle accident.
While going through pre- and post-surgical therapy I invented "The Get-A-Grip Hand Device. I hope you look at this wonderful little machine at: http://www.rehabdevices.com. Much more true to life than a BTE at a fraction of the cost. Seen at major symposiums. I now have 94% function of my right hand, after having the Proximal Row removed.
